Maintenance Technician
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform repairs/re-build and preventive maintenance on various types of restaurant equipment throughout San Diego.
- Coordinate with service companies to complete more technical repairs
- Verify and reconcile invoices from service companies
- Communicate with restaurant management about repairs, condition of equipment and performance of equipment
JOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Must be familiar with air conditioning and refrigeration repair
- Minimum of 2 yrs HVAC and Refrigeration experience is required
- Restaurant equipment knowledge preferred
- Experience in repair/re-build of restaurant equipment
- Hand Tools
- Reaches, bends, stoops, scrubs, lifts, and wipes
- Ability to move heavy equipment
- Overall knowledge of general construction to include plumbing & electrical
- Travel is required
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus

COMPANY HISTORY
WKS Restaurant Corporation began operating its 1st El Pollo Loco restaurant in 1988 in the City of Long Beach, California. WKS is currently the largest franchisee of El Pollo Loco restaurant chain, operating 50 plus units located in California, Arizona, and Denver. WKS currently employs 1,300 people in its El Pollo Loco operations.
WKS Restaurant Corporation is also a franchisee of Denny’s restaurants and currently operates three restaurants in the Southern California area, employing over 200 people.
In January of 2009, WKS signed a development agreement with Corner Bakery Café, Inc. of Dallas, Texas to open 15 restaurants within the next seven years throughout the greater Phoenix, Arizona area.
In September 2007, WKS was honored by the International Franchise Association as a Franchisee of the Year.
